Ok, for all you who really know me should know that I love music. I love all types, all singers, and I love going to concerts. I love John Mayer. He has such an incredible way with words and is a musical genius. I love to just listen to his songs, shut my eyes, and get lost in the music. It's complete euphoria. I went to his concert a couple of years ago at Usana and he came with Maroon 5. It is by far the best concert I've ever been to. He played his popular songs, then pulled one of his band members to sit by him, and the two of them jammed for like 40 minutes. The sun was setting, and they had this cool background. Amazing. When I heard that he was coming again, I was elated. But then I remembered that we had no money and I wouldn't get the chance to listen to him live. Boo. However, I have the best husband in the world. He knew how much I wanted to go, so he bought two tickets. Not only two tickets, but they are like the 20th row back, in the center. You start to think to yourself, now how are they going to afford that? Well, my dear husband has donated plasma twice a week for the past month to pay for these glorious tickets. I was completely beside myself. Now the tickets mean that much more. :) Now, I'm not psycho or anything. I don't stalk John Mayer. I don't know his favorite color, or where he buys his underwear, or anything like that. I just appreciate the ability for a person, any person, to take their feelings, insecurties, life events, and to express themselves with music and lyrics.
I decided to post some of my favorite songs so you can all enjoy the pleasure of hearing his genius creations. I love these songs.... I can relate to every one of them. Enjoy!

Jars
Holy moly, you can really tell it's wedding season. I have like 5 weddings within 3 weeks. WOW. Well, along with the weddings comes a wedding shower. It's for a good friend of mine that I knew through high school. I was assigned the letter "J" for her shower. Well, you'd think it would be easy because her name is Jill and she's marrying Jeff. Well, I was coming up with nothing. When I got married, I really appreciated the gifts that helped me stock my pantry... so I wanted to incorporate that into my gift. I decided that I would get several jars and put mixes in them. I decided to do a breakfast mix, a beverage mix, a dessert mix, a soup mix, and a dip mix. I came across recipes for cinnamon pancakes, hot cocoa, brownies, chicken noodle soup, and a Mexian fiesta dip. Yummy. It was quick and easy to put them together. I typed up all the directions for the mixes in fun colors and fonts. All in all, I'm pretty pleased with my gift. I just hope she likes it. :)

Late Night Blogging
I really have found this blogging thing quite addicting. I blog late at night, when my wee little one is sound asleep and I have a little peace and quiet. I love having "John and Kate Plus Eight" in the background, and the calm of the night. However, I know I will probably regret staying up tomorrow morning. Oh well. Life has been a little zany. Nate and I just celebrated our 2 year anniversary. We went to Cafe Rio because we had 2 free meals, then went to Smith's because I had a little cold and needed some medicine. My brother just came home from Iraq. It was so good to see him. He'd never met Ava, so it's been fun watching him hold her and talk to her. Nate just finished another semester. Wahoo! I only have one more week of work. Double Wahoo!! I will finally be able to get to that spring cleaning, scrapbooking, jewelry making, clothes shopping, hair dyeing, journal writing, book reading, wall painting, and everything else I have been putting off for the past two months. But most of all, I am looking forward to spending every day with my little chick. I am now done with this post, so look for the next late night blog.
